Teedra Moses was one of the first artists that Gypsy Soul worked with as long as two years ago and to see her and her sister again was great. Just as I remember her, Teedra was beautiful, cool, and gracious. She interacted with each journalist as if she had been their home girl for years. They talked about the fall of TVT, Teedra's shoe game, her twins, and how she really dug the performance of Peter Hadar, an artists she had never heard of before, the night before in NYC. We all talked about how relevant her first album still is till this day. Be sure to catch the some of the audio of the interviews on thesoulcialista.podomatic.com.
The first time I saw Muhsinah in person was at The Foreign Exchange show…I was excited! If you understood the way I love music and then if you heard her voice you could dig the level of excitement for this young lady. I finally understood why Yahzarah had so much adoration for her. Cool thing was she and her manager seemed so silly and down to earth…something every good fan appreciates.
In between interviews with Muhsinah she did an amazing sound check. You could see her unique style come out as well as the silly side I saw the first day I met her in person. Her music is so unique and to get a chance to witness it without a crowd was cool…take a look.
The journalist dove into her music, her personality, and her goals for the future. This is certainly an artists you need to know more about. Shes been on tour with Common, featured on The Foreign Exchange, and has a musical genius and intuition that is so rare. I would really like to give a shout out to Tamia who holds Teedra down, MJ-Muhsinah's manager (thank you again), Omrao-the owner of LIV and Bohemian Caverns for being so welcoming to Gypsy Soul (we really appreciate you), Mark of MN8-THE best promoter in DC (thank you for always being so agreeable and bringing hella good music to the area!)
