It's official. Anthony David is currently President Obama's favorite singer.

The President was delivering a get-out-the-vote message on the US nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show yesterday, and when the conversation turned away from politics he was asked who he was listening to on his iPod. He replied: "You know, I have actually been listening to some of the neo soul. The First Lady turned me on to Anthony David - he's got some nice music".

Michelle Obama is previously on record as having Anthony's music in pride of place on her iPod.

One of Gypsy Soul's favorite true R&B brothers is droppin a hefty mix tape before the new year!

Darien Brockington
has been capturing fans while on the road with Little Brother and The Foreign Exchange over the past couple of years.

On December 29th he is releasing The Cold Case Files, a mix tape boasting over 15 tracks, to hold fans over until he drops his 2nd solo project in 2010. A couple of tracks to the 2010 album will be previewed at the end of the mix tape. Make sure you check out his website.

Over the next year, while he is touring in "Dreamgirls" he will be performing concerts, the proceeds of which will benefit various causes including HIV/AIDS, poverty, and autism...
