Teedra Moses recently made a trip to Washington, D.C. and while here we were able to catch up with her to get her thoughts and to get even more familiar with this artist that Gypsy Soul loves. It has been ten years since the release of her debut album Complex Simplicity with knock out single "Be Your Girl." Loved by many for not only the skill of her song writing but also the substance and ability to connect the content of her releases to the lives of her listeners. Not to mention her vocal arrangements and layering of intricate harmonies over beats is sublime.

Since then Teedra has released a few mixtapes including The Young Hustler compilations to Royal Patience...A Love Journey and Luxurious Undergrind. Push play on the tracks below to listen to some of our favorites from over the years.

There are artists that grow on you; and then there's that one artist that, the first time you hear them, completely blows you away. Friend of Gypsy Soul, and amazing rapper, singer, producer Dunson is that diamond in the rough.

After spending a multitude of years playing in bands of different genres, the Maryland native took the chance to become a solo artist focusing on lyrics and production- and we are so glad he did. His music is eclectic and infectious; that bob your head kind of music; that move your hips kind of music; that sing along kind of music; that "H.Y.F.R." kind of music. It's hard to pin him to a specific genre. His production teeters the line of rock, Hip-Hop and R&B. He looks like an R&B singer, and he raps like a starving artist- devouring each and every beat thrown his way.

2011 was a breakout year for Dunson, having amassed a multitude of new supporters with the release of his critically acclaimed mixtape Creative Destruction 2. We were introduced to Amber Mimz last summer and were so impressed that since then we have introduced her to Baltimore and featured her at two of our events. We want you to get familiar and connected through a song that most of us will understand. "4head Kiss" off of her release Urban Romance Session EP talks about the feeling of something rare, shows the level of things shared between two people or can indicate the beginning of an end.

::HEADPHONE JUNKIE:: Pharoahe Monch -CLAP The Short Film

Pharoahe Monch premieres his first visual from W.A.R. (We Are Rengades) out March 22nd. "Clap (one day)" is a powerful 10-minute short film with which Pharoahe Monch evokes raw emotions as he brings viewers on a journey of a police raid gone dramatically wrong.

"Clap (one day)" premiered on COMPLEX.com and is directed by Terence Nance. Original score by Lion's Share Music Group. The cast includes Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire), Kim Howard & Josiah Small.

Fans who buy Pharoahe Monch's W.A.R. album from iTunes will receive the short-film with purchase.
