What happens when three "creative creations" collaborate to bring to the masses music that transcends normal parameters and expectations? What happens is you are presented with music that is free, vast and far reaching as any galaxy.
Individually, producer King Midas, singer/songwriter Spacebunny Jefferson and DJ/producer DJ Cozmos are superb artists in their own right. Each defies conventional thinking and redefines what cool is. Together as Radio Galaxy, they reprogram perceptions and transport listeners to the far reaches of what music is.
With influences that include Nirvana, Bilal, Radiohead, Little Dragon and A Tribe Called Quest, it becomes quite clear why Radio Galaxy is free to create. Their style is 6 parts dopeness with a touch of jazz, hip hop, funk, electro and R&B.
King Midas and DJ Cozmos (collectively known as King Coz) are responsible for the sound that powers the group. With carefully selected samples, a boundless array of sounds and textures, their productions spawn more than just your average 808 looped beats. King Coz's production fully acknowledges the art of music.
Spacebunny Jefferson possesses raw talent, untouched by the anguish of mainstream stipulations and requisitions. Please don't mistake her simplistic delivery as boring or uninspiring. That only helps you to listen closer to hear tremendous skill and very well place adlibs, riffs and runs. Let's not diminish her skill by calling her a "dope female emcee." On top of her breathtaking vocal abilities, Spacebunny Jefferson is a dope emcee.
As part of the Peace Uv Mine collective, Radio Galaxy ready do their part to contribute to Peace Uv Mine's effort to expose progressive artistry and premium music.
