There is a new heart throb on the music scene and his name is Jesse Boykins III.
I smile with the thought that Gypsy Soul was the FIRST to host this dynamic singer...2 time in Baltimore at The Appetizer and Ear Candy! We introduced Jesse & his band The Beauty Created back in August & December of 2008 and ever since then he has been back in Baltimore at least once a month...at Coppin States Homecoming, Fletchers, opening for Chrisette Michelle and now at Edens with Curt Chambers.
The fruits of his performance labor is paying off! The venue was packed with 90% women waiting to hear his smooth, sultry voice croon about love, life, and more love.

He began his set with Andre 3000's "Prototype" and continued his set with songs like "I Wish" & "Tabloids". The Beauty Created is one of the best bands EVER. These creative musicians certainly rocked the crowd! But let me say that O.J. the horn player was not only part of the

The highlight of the evening was the performance of "Pantyhose". Jesse searched the crowd for a young lady to serenade and seduce and he selected a pretty young lady that looked shy enough.... (I have to laugh, in a good way) by the end of the song as he grinded on her and "felt up and down those thighs" but she was mos def returning the favor! It was great fun and Im so happy that the other young ladies in the crowd were sisterly in their support of the young lady, everyone clapped and cheered them on. She received great applause when leaving the stage...that was a wonderful thing...I think FUN is coming back to Baltimore music.

Shouts out to Black Out Studios and Unrelated Family. Special shout to Quemar Entertainment for bringing back artists we introduce to Baltimore and feature at Ear Candy and Briclyn Entertainment for helping us introduce Jesse and other artists to Baltimore!
Part II of this recap is about the headliner Curt Chambers, stay tuned!
