Grammy Award winning artist Miguel reveals an exclusive new tune called "Simplethings", which will be featured on the up coming soundtrack for the comedy series, Girls. The soundtrack, called Girls Volume 2: All Adventurous Women Do... will be released through Atlantic Records and is available for pre-order now on iTunes and HBO Shop.
Now in it's third season, the series Girls follows the lives of a group of 20 somethings living in New York City. The show take a humorous look at the humiliations and triumphs experienced by the group. People Weekly describes the show as "raw, ironic, occasionally touching on post-millenial matters."
"Simplethings" is a distorted, gritty rock influenced tunes coupled with Miguel's smooth, R&B sound. Perhaps in keeping with the song's title, the lyrics are simple and truthful as Miguel croons about looking for someone to share the "simple things" with.
Girls Volume 2: All Adventurous Women Do... is available on February 11th. Girls airs Sundays at 10p on HBO.
