So being the "Jet Setter" I am---I flew out to The Chi this past weekend to kick it with a good friend of mine. Definitely admired all the great things Chicago has to offer and of course---I wanted to see how they partied. To my surprise I ran into a great friend of Gypsy Soul's Ms. Melanie Fiona @ Club Vibe. Homegirl welcomed me with open arms to chop it up before partying herself. Gypsy Soul was given the honor of hosting her digital release party of her debut album The Bridge last October and have been watching her grow as an artist and are definitely loving how she is steadily moving to the top with her collab with the Roots, John Legend and Common on "Wake Up".
I must say, out of any artist I have met Melanie is surely the sweetest and deserves to be steadily on the upward! I look forward to her continuing rise to the top.
Earlier before catching up with her, she hit the stage performing her hit "Give It To Me Right" and of course the all time fav of mine "It Kills Me" in which the crowd sang along. Check out the snippet of her performance (its kinda sideways:
