Gordon Chambers at Ear Candy

Friday, July 17, 2009

A delayed train didn't keep the energy out of Grammy winner Gordon Chamber's performance last night at Ear Candy!

The night got a late start and it took a moment for the crowd to get into the groove of Gordon, but once they did, they demanded more!

Gordon start off the night with a medley of love songs and transitioned into songs off of his first album, Introducing Gordon Chamber and his second, Love Stories.

The Teaneck, New Jersey native is currently signed to L.A. Reid's prestigious Hitco Music publishing company where has written for over 60 recording artists, including household names Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Usher, Brandy, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and Marc Anthony.

In 1994, Gordon won a grammy back in 1994 for the song he wrote for "I Apologize" by Anita Baker and was nominated in 1995 for his work with Brownstone trio "If You Love Me".

He performed the song last night and had everyone on their feet grooving. Crowd participation was at a record high as he brought forth 2 females to be his backup singers for the hook!

Gordon ended the night with an encore for all the single ladies and serenaded them with his song "BeHappy" off his latest cd
